Draft Ingram, Payton II or Maker or Hammons
Resign Clarkson, Huertas, Black, maybe Bass
Sign Whiteside or Horford, Bazemore, Biyombo or Ezeli.

Too much bigs

Draft Ingram, Payton II (good young PG that can develop and come off the bench behind Russell, Huertas)
Now going into free agency, the biggest need is a C after drafting Ingram
Our top priority should be signing Whiteside, Durant is staying in OKC, so go all in on Whiteside
Sign Whiteside then use rest of money on good players to come off bench (Bazemore, Anderson, Biyombo, etc)
Oh and of course resign Clarkson, Huertas, Black, and maybe Bass (Good energetic player who can rebound, block shots, and score in the paint off the bench)

I want GPII as well with the 32nd pick, but he isn't that young and I doubt he develops much. You draft him for his defense and athleticism, not really on the chance he develops.

lakers trade top 3 pick for Demarcus cousins.
Sign DeMar DeRozan.

If Jimmy Butler is really on the trade block and the lakers keep their top 3 pick, they should trade their top 3 pick, 2 other future picks, and Lou Williams for Jimmy Butler. It probably won't be accepted but it's worth the shot so that they can keep their young core in tact. Even D'Angelo Russell, yea he made a mistake but hasn't everyone played around and accidentally taken it too far? Plus he's just a 20yr trying to adjust to the league. People got to cut him some slack. Also, in free agency, the lakers should sign either horford or whiteside, preferably whiteside. They also resign bass, Huertas, and Clarkson of course. Fire Scott and hire Thibs.
Starting lineup:
PG: D'Angelo Russell
SG: Jordan Clarkson
SF: Jimmy Butler
PF: Julius Randle
C: Hassan Whiteside
6th: Larry Nance.

Thank you about Randle but I would make some minor changes

The sixers are going to pick Simmons and the lakers will most likely pick Ingram, if not Ingram, Jaylen Brown. I like Jaylen brown, he was my favorite prospect going into the college season. I think he has a lot of potential. He's improving his shot, he can drive to the basket like Westbrook, he's a good defender like Kawhi, and he's aiming for a similar work ethic as Kobe. He's also a smart basketball player. I wouldn't be mad if the lakers skipped on Ingram for Jaylen brown. But Ingram is still my #1 option for the 2nd overall pick while brown is most likely going to the Suns at #4.

The lakers will likely draft Ingram which will fill the need at SF. But there is still a major hole at Center. Honestly I don't think the lakers will be able to sign a Star Center in Free Agency like Whiteside, Horford, etc. Plus I think most people would be overpaying for Ezeli. I think the lakers should sign role players that can contribute big off the bench, also some players that can be used as trade bait to trade for a young center. If the lakers don't sign a Star Center, they should trade for a decent young one. For example, Joel Embiid. Yea he's been injured the past couple years but he's expected to play this years. He is a old school center who can post up and score in the paint with his natural and great footwork. He is also 7'0 and can protect the paint. If healthy, he can develop with Russell, Clarkson, Ingram, Randle, and Nance to be one of the best young cores in the league plus get back into the playoffs. Also when healthy, I believe Embiid can be a 20pt/ 10reb/ 2blk a game guy. Embiid has a lot of a potential especially with his newly developed jump shot which can help space the floor. If the lakers trade for him, it could be someone they sign in free agency, maybe rondo. Trading rondo for Embiid and maybe a 2nd round pick could help the sixers in balancing their roster and giving them a natural Point Guard.

Embiid can hit the odd three now aswell. he's been working on it the last few months what it just another plus side to him aswell

Doesn't make sense. Lakers would give up a shooting guard for a shooting guard. The Jazz would trade their starting shooting guard for someone who they will use as their 3rd point guard along with trey Burke and exum

Hell no. Ezeli for a max?? Randle and Clarkson for Tobias?? Bender with the 2nd pick?? No no no. That team can't contend at all.

I like it, you have your young players starting and developing with a leader in al horford who can score and defend, then you got good productive, energetic players coming off the bench
30 May 2016 06:10:34
Horrible trade for lakers, #2 for #3 and not even get cousins
30 May 2016 06:08:42
Need better role players off the bench
01 Apr 2016 19:19:22
I'd trade it for a proven star like giannas or Jimmy butler. If not, draft Jaylen brown, he's great defender and can develop a shot

Russell Randle and our lottery pick way too much for butler
