Bucks-Lakers

The Lakers get Miles Plumlee, Jerryd Bayless, and a 2017 2nd Round pick from the Bucks

The Bucks get Jordan Clarkson and Nick Young

The Lakers do not have a solid center behind Hibbert with Sacre being the next best option at times. Plumlee could help to fill that role as a great rebounder and shot blocker - things that Hibbert is not. Both Plumlee and Bayless are in the final years of their contracts so the Lakers can decide if they would like to keep them around or clear more cap space for potential signings in the offseason. Jerryd Bayless would be able to act as a leader to the young Laker guards alongside Kobe. This move could help with the Lakers attempts at tanking to improve the chance at Ben Simmons in the upcoming draft. The Lakers have reportedly been trying to shed Nick Young's contract from their books because of his shot selections and size of the contract and they may be more willing to trade a piece like Clarkson if they are able to do so.

The Bucks get a young guard who has potential to become a great scorer. Although the Bucks have plenty of young talent, a few of those players are not good shooters (MCW, Giannis) . Clarkson would be able to grow alongside the other young Bucks and become part of their future plans. The Bucks do have to take on Nick Young in this deal but I believe that they are willing to do so if they are also getting Clarkson. Young does not have to play big minutes, and they could maybe flip him to a contender who needs another shooter for a small return. Miles Plumlee has not been getting minutes in most of the games so far this season so they do not need to worry about filling in for him at the moment.

I feel like your selling low on Clarkson.

Why in the world would they trade their future shooting guard for a backup center
