Rockets and Hawks would need to do that deal without the Lakers. Makes no sense for the Lakers. First Vanvleet has a players option which he will exercise so the Lakers will be over the second apron of tax next off season. Give up DLo, Hachimura, 1st round pick (could be valuable) for Vanvleet? With Lebron, AD and Reeves I don't think taking on $42M/ $44M player makes sense right now.

Lakers and Spurs would take a hard pass on that deal. Lineup and salary restrictions wise it makes no sense for the Lakers. Russell at point guard is a better option than Johnson in the starting lineup with Lebron at point.

Seeing both Paul and Thompson pass on the lakers shows they have no faith in our owner and GM to field a contender. It’s time to trade James. They missed on everyone that James would take less money to get. I say double s&t James for Maxey.

If the Grizzlies were to accept Hachimura and the 17th pick & other compensation the Lakers would take Smart over Lopez. Lopez is making way more than Smart and Hachimura are so those contracts don't add up but Hachimura and Smart does add up. Smart is a player the Lakers need. An perimeter defender. Lakers can add a center through Free agency.
